Bio.

Artem Kam is a Ukrainian-American film photographer with a passion for capturing the essence of everyday life around the world. He seamlessly merges the genres of portraiture, street photography, and fine art all into one. Using 35mm and medium format to chronicle the spirit of people and moments in a nostalgic way.

 

Recently, Artem has been focusing on the exploration of subculture movements and their intriguing visual stories. Mostly focusing on capturing prolific images that vividly encapsulate the controlled chaos and artistry often witnessed in the urban underground scene.

OPENING THE BORDERS: MYANMAR

NOMADIC INUKTUNS

"Nomadic Inuktuns" is a mesmerizing photography exhibit by Artem Kam, capturing the spirit of nomadic Inuktuns in the stunning landscapes of Greenland. Each photograph tells a tale of the Inuit people's resilience and deep connection to the Arctic wilderness. The images showcase the iconic stone cairns against the backdrop of vast icy expanses and towering glaciers. This exhibit is a visual journey that explores the harmonious coexistence of tradition and the ever-changing Arctic environment, offering a glimpse into the unique cultural tapestry of Greenland.

"What's Happening in Hapeville" Photography Exhibition

"Alone But Not Lonely" unveils a captivating photograph that masterfully employs the double exposure technique. Inside a vintage bookstore, a lone figure melds seamlessly with shelves of weathered books, creating a spectral fusion. The technique adds a layer of depth, intertwining the man's solitude with the literary atmosphere, producing a visually striking narrative. This image was featured and selected by Cat Eye Creative Gallery and the city of Hapeville for the Atlanta Celebrates Photography exhibition, "What's Happening in Hapeville".
